Had one of the original Ascents with the rear facing tape along with a Tommy Hogg. Kept the Tommy. To Me,the Hogg felt like it was a stronger build and the dial adjustment was smoother.
The Tommy allows my Tightspot quiver to bolt up and still get to the dial.

I run 2 Tommy Hoggs on both of my bows and will say you can't find a better built sight! Before I decided to go with the Tommy the only restraint was the weight but really could care less about that little extra weight now, helps that my bow is a Carbon Defiant 34 i guess. Just a heads up though, Spot Hogg will be releasing a new sight at ATA which will be lighter weight! Best of luck on your decision!

The SH Fast Eddie can be ordered with any pin configuration. With a 5 pin housing the Fast Eddie is 2.1 oz lighter than the Tommy Hogg with the same housing. This is per an email exchange I had with Spot Hogg 2 months ago.

I run the 3 pin MBG Ascent and I think it's a great sight. I've never used the Tommy Hoggs, but I've never heard anything bad about them either, both of these are really solid choices, I don't think you'll be disappointed with either one.
