And correct me if I’m wrong, the LR has a faster twist so you can go heavier in bullets.

That depends on the caliber 28 and 30 noslers have same twist rate. 7rm and some others do have a faster twist for the LR version.

Surprised to see that this thread was still alive in 2020! I moved on from the X-Bolt HCLR .300WM as well as the Sako .300WSM. The Browning had a lot going for it, but just didn't suit me. The Sako...I couldn't find a load that it liked.
