Great comment! I’m sticking with the time tested and proven Nosler Partition. This round does not get enough love with all the marketing of other rounds you did not mentionI am not a guide, but have participated in >50 elk harvested over the past 25 years with either 7mm08, 30-06, 7 Mag, or 300 WM.
IMO….Shot placement, confidence, and comfort with the selected gun and caliber is the #1 criteria. Second is downfield performance based on bullet type, size and velocity. I have personally witnessed 3 elk double lung shot with a 7mm 08 that required tracking (very little blood from small exit hole) and a follow-up shot and 1 that looked like a great shot but was not recovered due to lack of a blood trail. I would definitely choose the 7 Mag and 160 accubond. The 160-180 Accubond from 7 mm mag, 30-06 or 300 WM have always performed great (even when shot placement was not perfect).
