Had chili the other night, ground elk for the meat. Put it over a cinnamon roll for the first bowl and then over a piece of New York cheese cake for the second.

Y'all.... we have a new focus point for our distain, hatred & vilification. Beans & spaghetti be damned. This is a hate-crime.

I made some venison chili yesterday. We are overflowing with rendered bacon fat ATM, so I added about 7 spoonfuls to the pot.

I use a modified version of this recipe for my chili.

Instead of tomatoes, I use medium salsa. No Italian sausage, 2 pounds of browned stew meat, 2 lbs of burger (what ever animal is in the freezer works fine) If. You have leftover steak, smoked tri tip, etc it always goes in.

I used pinto and Kidney beans and 1 can of “chili beans in sauce” If you have some hatch chilis use those.

Also I hope the part about putting chili on cinnamon rolls and cheesecake is all in jest, that or some of y’all should be on a terrorist watchlist because that ain’t right

I can agree with the bacon, makes just about everything else better.
I’m gonna have to disagree on the devolving of society and watchlists on how chili is prepared.

Tray-rat chili-mac? I don’t remember that. I do remember eating tray rat spaghetti with meatballs for three weeks straight thanks to an excellent company Gunny who snagged the only ones his CO liked. Some other company got the oriental noodle one. Poor guys…
