My thought too.
Reminds me of our Lab, sleeping on the back porch after we just moved to a new place.
I look up when I see movement through the back window, and see a guy strolling by
in the back yard. I'm like WTH?,,,, dog raises his head from his nap to look at the guy and
goes back to sleep.

But loses his mind if an Armadillo shows up.
