A quick question in regards to adding a little height to the stock for a better cheek weld. What have you guys done to add a little more height . I can’t drop the rings any lower because it would interfere with the bolt . Thanks in advance Jason

If you are considering a neoprene type I’d highly suggest the Bear tooth. Quality and they also sell it with a riser kit.

If you want something that has adjustable height is light weight and inexpensive the Kydex adj. cheek risers work really well. They're very easy to install too.

I've used the Beartooth neoprene sleeve with different height shims and they work ok too but I prefer the Kydex adj. cheek riser better.

I taped on pieces of foam, but eventually I learned that if I fit my rifle to me, I could use a "jaw weld" which was really just the came index point. My head is in a neutral position because the rifle is fit to me. I return to the center of the scope every time, and to be out of position I would have to force myself into an awkward position. What I have found is fitting the rifle and scope perfectly solves the problem of needing a cheek weld to index myself.

I think the kydex are the best solutions, unless you just want to go redneck like I did.

I run these on two of my rifles, they work great for 20 bucks. My X-Bolt western hunter has an adjustable cheek riser from the factory, and as nice as it is, now that it's set I never touch it. So idk if the adjustability aspect is worth paying extra for, IMO. These work great for what they are!

Have used the triad stock packs in the past, but recently switched over to the Mathew’s Fabrication Kydex cheek pieces, and really like them a lot.
