I have a laser that goes on the muzzle end but I wouldn't buy another one. It'll get me on paper, just depends on if it's 3'x3' paper. I can reposition the laser and it might move 1 mil. Something to start with I guess but boresighting has done better.

ok, anyone up for a challenge?
i put together a laser for setting flags on the range. it is 30mw if i remember right. it will shine on a hundred yd target in sunlight and if a cloud comes over it will put a 2 in dot on a 200 yd target. i will not take it apart but it will shine down the bore i am certain. the legal 5 mw lasers made for chambers dont do well. i guess it is because of reflection in the bore and lack of power. that is why i said they are only good for setting up chronys. by the time you get to 26yd you cant see much. and the dot is now several inches in diameter.

the laser itself is about .3 inch and all you need is battery. easy to build and if i remember it is cheap enough -ten bucks.
