Anyone got a method to check the concentricity of a suppressor to the bore that doesnt involve these $50-$100 machines rods?
Are you wanting to simply make sure the bullet will clear the baffles or actually measure concentricity?
Screw it on there and look down the bore from the action end, if it's out of spec it should be pretty obvious. Carbon arrow works well too.
I hear you. I had baffle strikes on a Cooper (threaded by Cooper), so I purchased 3 or 4 rods (for various calibers). And while my memory could be wrong, I don’t think I paid that much for all 4. I can check or try to find the order later if needed.
Well geewhiz is your guy!Are you wanting to simply make sure the bullet will clear the baffles or actually measure concentricity?
I had "technical difficulties" that day that I think I could get away with blaming on someone else.Well geewhiz is your guy!
Was gonna recommend this same thing. I believe their around $7 a piece. Also any smith who cuts and threads barrels should be able to check it for you as well. You can buy steel rods from McMaster-Carr and cut them down to size. Much cheaper option.
