I’m going to need a jet boil for my hunt and not sure if a Amazon special will work at well or close to a jetboil, any experiences with them?

I don’t know the total pros for jet boils, but I bought a little $25 stove from Walmart years ago when I started backpacking, my bro in law rocks the jet boil. I feel like mine is simple, packs smaller and boils just as fast. I do have to bring a little pot to boil water which is a bummer.. but man done tons of backpacking and it works just fine.

Oh that’s way better looking than the one I bought almost a decade ago. Mine is more like this haha it has been great too.

I have a fire maple x1 that I keep in my truck. I've used it quite a few times, but never on a backpack hunt. So far, i'd buy another if this one broke.

Just looking now on amazon, on sale for $40. Cant beat that and has piezo starter

For right around $100, you should be able to do a FireMaple Petrel G2 or G3 with a MSR PocketRocket Deluxe. Nice light self-contained system with a 4oz fuel canister. Worth the little bit extra for a higher quality burner IMO, especially when you get into less than ideal conditions.

I spent a lot of time looking at the FireMaple and other knockoffs of Jetboil, and just about pulled the trigger and then found the Jetboil Flash Java kit on sale for a ridiculous price and picked it up.....so also look around, some jetboils get on sale and as cheap as the knockoffs.
