Cerakoted Rings

Need your input. I just got my parts back from getting cerakoted and after looking them over I noticed that the inside of my scope rings were also cerakoted! Do you think this will cause issues with the scope slipping or do you think it will be ok? Thanks in advance.

Inside so it grabs the ring and scope. Blue.

Or for a more removable non marking solution use powdered rosin. Dust the inside of the rings before assembly and they won’t move. A little IPA or ETOH will clean it up if you ever take it apart.

Cerakote is actually pretty grippy. I can’t speak to rings but I have had some rails coated and with torque they were nearly glued to the receiver, had to break them off with a little impact.

I would worry more about the thickness and what it did to the ring ID radius.

My Xbolt rings from Talley had cerakote on the inside as well. Haven't have any issues on a lightweight 300 PRC.

Seems pretty thin on mine.
