I had a package show up on my doorstep at 5:30 this morning. They's busy...

I once sent a package one November from Boise to Maun, Botswana - it never made it. I moved to Seatte the following March. One day I went to the PO ti get my mail and there was my package I sent to Botswana. It made it to Africa, floated around for a while, then came all the way back to Boise, then was forwarded to Seattle. The note on the box said, "Address Undeliverable." But there, printed in large letters was the same name and address I had been sending mail for the previous three years.

Dunno.

I guess that Nigerian prince finally got his plane ticket out of there.

Bought some climbing sticks off here and USPS tracking still says they are waiting for the package when the package was given to them on Monday.

If you're in the Midwest, look at Spee-dee delivery.
30-50% cheaper then Ups/FedEx, with quick delivery times.

Throwing it out as an option.

Happy Holidays

Of the dozen or so times Iv ordered from the states (into Canada), ups has always charged me more then double/triple compared to usps due to import charges. Iv noticed the same in delayed tracking with usps, but only ever by a couple/few days.

Last week, ups (Kifaru order), dinged me $130 import on a $22 hat. After 3 phone calls to ups, and a few to Kifaru, it looks like I now own a $150+ Kifaru hat.

ime, ups is a royal pita, on the Canada side. Not to mention, trying to talk to someone a person can understand on a phone. It’s like talking to telus, in the Philippines.

I must be an outlier. I've ordered and shipped several things in the last 3 weeks. No major hold ups or issues. I only use USPS to ship (flat rate boxes) but get packages from all 3 services. Again, no major problems other than a day or 2 delay here or there.

At my last company and current company, which each spend several million dollars a year on shipping tens of thousands of items, they only use UPS if that tells you anything.

I haven't had too many issues with shipping - been lucky I guess. Returns that have been shipped and arrived on time are another matter.

I shipped something back to Cabela's for return and it arrived in 4 days just like it was supposed to. 2 weeks later, no email or account credit. I opened a chat with their online folks and they tell me returns are currently taking 4 WEEKS to process! Another retailer acknowledged the package arrived the day it did (their label) but said they need another two weeks to process the return.

There are people starving for work and these folks won't hire a temp to help their overwhelmed system.

My son shipped 20,000 packages this year, 12,000 of them in the past 2 months and has zero issues with them getting to the customer on time and he ships 85% USPS 1st class priority, the rest UPS with 3 day delivery I believe. We are near Phila. Pa Not sure what every-ones problems are.....maybe you should try delivering it yourself for 7.95 and see how far you get. USPS, UPS and Fed-Ex are the most under-appreciated people......they do a LOT, for the LITTLE you pay. Get over it.

steakngravy...thanks for doing your best, like most carrier employees do. my dad worked for USPS as a rural carrier for 41 years, 6 days a week and NEVER missed a day of work...that mail got there no matter how bad the weather was, no matter how deep the snow was or how icy it was...and he was proud and determined to make sure it was. People these days don't know how good they have it but find a way to bitch about everything. Doctors, Lawyers and the mailman are hated alike...unless they are delivering something to save your life.

All of this could be solved very easily..no problem whatsoever......but how many here want to PAY for that solution? Yep....CRICKETS...just as I thought! If I was congress I would raise the price of a letter stamp to $2, small packages to $15 and anything larger than a loaf of bread but smaller than a milk crate to $45...larger than that gets charged by the overall size and weight with a minimum of $50. Guess what, the USPS could then afford to expand operations as necessary to actually carry the workload WE have placed upon it. Same for the other carriers. Im waiting to see the "that's outrageous" comments from the complainers. However, that is the ONLY solution.

My recent Black Ovis order via FedEx went from delivery today to "delivery pending." Well, I should hope so
