USPS recently lost a used Beretta shotgun barrel I found on ebay. Sucks... waited too long to file my claim and ebay/USPS/credit card all screwed me. I was just hoping USPS would find it so I held off in good faith. Some BS....

I shudder anytime I see a vendor has used FedEx to ship me something. They'll show on the truck for delivery for several days before you actually see it. I've even see it go from "on the truck" back to "date unknown" or "delayed" several times before it ever gets delivered.

USPS has always been the best for me.

Until about 2 weeks ago. I have 3 packages that made it to my local hub a week ago that have had no movement. Well, one backed up a hub and then came back.

UPS and FedEx haven't fallen behind here, yet.

I had a Leica spotter shipped to me several years back from a 'slider.
Fed Ex kept sending me messages, 'on the truck' 'delayed' etc. Finally after about eight days of BS, I called the local Fed Ex hub in Spokane and told them to hold the frigging package and that I'd pick it up. It's a 90 minute drive, but I figured we'd shop, etc.

When we got to Fed Ex, I couldn't believe my eyes. That shipping terminal looks like something out of Orwell's 1984. The turnstile gates, barriers, cameras, security, etc. It was one creepy-assed facility. I went in there being eyeballed like I just came down from Ruby Ridge.

Aside from terrible service, after seeing that place I go out of my way TO NOT use that company.

My worst experiences all come from FedEx. They consistently deliver on time but it’s always at the wrong address. Took me a week to track down a package containing new hunting clothing only to find it about three miles down the road at another house (empty at the time). They’ve delivered my packages to a neighbors house numerous times even after letting that same driver aware that he’s delivering to wrong address. Try to use UPS when given a choice.

They all stink. UPS gave a package to the USPS driver to deliver. It needed a signature. So I get a UPS email notice it's delivered. Uh nope who signed? Some other name. So call all day trying to find out WTH is going on. Out here there are miles and miles of no cell service. Finally I get a call on what they did. Stupid........ and it was a UPS item not one of those switch carriers items.

But the king of crap is DHL !

I'm still waiting on a package I ordered Nov. 10th. FedEx still seems to think it's in Memphis since Nov. 14th. Trying to get ahold of an actual FedEx person on the phone has been a joke.

Apparently they are so backlogged that there are pallets and pallets of parcels that are waiting to be sorted and shipped. The packages are not going anywhere and will be eventually shipped- they will just be late.

My co-worker is waiting on a package and tried to rip our mail carrier a new butthole over it. I had to remind him its personally not his fault, he is literally just the messenger.

I had a FEDEX package go on the truck for 3-4 days and not get delivered. Called the idiots and they said the driver could not find the driveway/house. They even printed out a map and taped it to the box and he could not find it. I finally drove an hour each way to get it.

In my area it's way more problems from both Ups and FedEx. USPS definitely seems best.

However a Ups Sure post or mail innovations or a FedEx whatever they call it, when the contract carries decide to let the local post office deliver it instead. Is about a guaranteed screw up. I mean has to be good for their business model tho, let the government subsidized infrastructure deliver it.

I had a package show up on my doorstep at 5:30 this morning. They's busy...

I once sent a package one November from Boise to Maun, Botswana - it never made it. I moved to Seatte the following March. One day I went to the PO ti get my mail and there was my package I sent to Botswana. It made it to Africa, floated around for a while, then came all the way back to Boise, then was forwarded to Seattle. The note on the box said, "Address Undeliverable." But there, printed in large letters was the same name and address I had been sending mail for the previous three years.

Dunno.
