Anyone ever have this happen to them.

Went to the archery range to shoot some arrows. Hooked up my release which I haven’t used in awhile safety engaged started drawing back then misfire. Popped me in the mouth. I thought maybe I did not hold the safety down so I reloaded, held the release safety down tighter only to get popped in the eye. I started troubleshooting and the hook to sear engagement is real thin. Messaged Carter so we’ll see my luck as compared to Kifaru.

Likely the adjustment screw is way to loose.

I have an original evolution and about 2 months ago I went through the exact same issue. The only difference is I had to punch myself twice just to be certain. Called Carter, sent it back per instructions on website and I was taken care of, with an upgrade.
I doubt you will have any issues getting this resolved.
