I am looking to buy a new cargo trailer to move furniture and use for storage for a few months. I would also like to be able to camp out of it in the future. Looking at a 7x12 or 7x14. Any suggestions on the best brands to look at? I am wanting an all aluminum trailer with good reputation for not leaking and being a quality trailer. Thanks

They are all garbage right now, build quality is horrendous. I would find a local custom builder and go with them, in hopes they have better quality and stand by their product. Have a look and a cargo brand enclosed, both axles are garbage in both, both leak like a siv, both have paint issues, I could go on if you wanted. Not sure where you are, but theres a place in Syracuse NY that I've heard good things about, thats where my next one will be bought.

I am in Alabama. I don’t mind driving to pick one up to get a good one. What builder are you looking at?

Colorado Trailers.
You're welcome. 😁

Metal wall studs, aluminum interior and exterior. Pre-insulated. Heat and ac. 30 amp connection.
L.E.D. Lighting inside and out. Roof rack. 19" ground clearance. Off road tires on two independent torsion axles.

They will deliver or meet you part way.

Aluma trailers quit making enclosed trailers unfortunately.

I recently bought a Homesteader Hercules from Lone Wolf Trailers in Falkville AL, not sure if that's close to you or not, that I have converted into a cargo camper and while it's steel framed it has stayed perfectly dry so far. My only complaints with it so far has been that the framing behind the plywood walls wasn't coated and that the wiring for the lights uses sub par connectors.

Thanks, I will look them up. I don’t think it’s very far. I am willing to drive for a good trailer.

I bought a Cargo Craft trailer, I think they are GA based. My local dealer let me spec it out however I wanted. I had a beefier frame put in a heavier axle. I felt the build quality was adequate for my needs

I only know about them because it's my hometown, but it's a tiny little town (only had a single caution light and a gas station when I was a kid) about halfway between Cullman and Decatur. I will say the people who work there are great to deal with and this is my second trailer from them; the first was one of their utility trailers that I used to haul our motorcycles all over the US with zero issues, and when I bought this one two years later they took the other one on trade for $300 less than I originally paid for it new.

Cargoprotrailers.com - Utah based. Aluminum. Stripped it, insulated, ran wire, added solar. Light and hauls amazing.

I have an Xpress aluminium cargo trailer, that I use for work. 5/6 days a week for 3+ years, zero issues and would buy another tomorrow if needed. They let you custom order the way you want it or they have stock models they make. I looked on their site and they are in your state.

Yes, they all suck since Covid. Just because people recommend them doesn't mean they are high quality or worth the price.
