This entire industry is f**ked up. Nowhere else would people gladly pay thousands of dollars for things that take a year to ship and so frequently have massive QC issues. Barrels, custom rifles, stocks, silencers. Why do we all just love to be abused as consumers?

When you guys ordered, are you sure it specified what year it was supposed to be delivered? You might get your barrel in February/March after all! In all seriousness I haven’t ordered a barrel from c6 and don’t think I ever will because of this thread.

That's true. I was a masochist when I first started building rifles, then I wised up. I do like to watch these threads though. So hard to look away...

for sure did. was it listed in the overstock/in stock section ?
Nope. Called and placed the order. Gene said he guaranteed he’d have it out before April so I’d have time to do load development etc before September. 3 weeks later got the email requesting second payment.

I must’ve gotten lucky on a cancelled barrel. Ordered 11/21/24, arrived 12/19/24. Ain’t mad at it
Got it all put together @ 60ftlb and checked with a go/no go gauge

Sadly won’t close on the go gauge. It’s close but definitely not going to close without being forced. I loosened the barrel to 47ftlb and the go gauge worked fine. Torque seemed low (C6 recommends 60) so I turned it back to 60ftlb.

It cycles the factory Berger ammo I slated for brass harvesting and loading. Let it ride or send it back to C6? As far as I can tell it’s a non issue unless I were to switch to a different factory ammo that’s closer to max spec?

Dang. I'm glad you posted this - I was considering rolling the dice, torquing to 90ft-lbs and letting it eat...

I'll have to order up my 223AI gauges which are are a bit of a pain to find.
