I bought one for a build a few months ago. The guys were great to deal with, wait wasn’t too long either. Best part is the gun shoots awesome ;) I haven’t finished load development but this group was from my initial range trip.

I've only been around two of Christensen's Carbons. Both were adapted to Model 70 Winchesters, a 300 Win Mag and a 7mm Rem Mag.

1) Both guns shot sub MOA angles where before they were terrible (hence the barrel changes)
2) Shaved gun weight noticably
3) Ugly (but I used to think synthetic stocks were ugly, too, and I got over it)

I have one on a custom 338 rcm. The barrel took around 10 months to get, after being told it would be a three month lead time. Then they made the barrel to the wrong dimensions. It shoots great, though.

I kicked the idea of one around quite a bit trying to save a few bucks. In the end I just spent the $ and got a proof brand.

I have a proof but ordered a carbon six to see if proof is really worth the extra $$.

@Goatie @EcoastDG did you guys get the chambered barrels and spin them on yourself or have a gunsmith do it? Is it just as straight forward as spinning on the barrel?

At one time carbonsix would chamber barrels and mount them on an action. I think they stopped doing it when they got more popular, but that’s who I used.

This is correct
For my first I sent them the action and they installed
With their newfound workload they'll still chamber and thread but dont do installs.
