Carbon Fiber Tent Pole

If I have a carbon fiber TP pole next to a hot stove. Will it damage it?

Ok people...I'll start it!
Well I think if you have it 6 feet away from the stove you'll probably be ok BUT if you put it in the stove it MIGHT get damaged.
Is someone going to start arguing with my logic!!!!

Ok I will bite... unless you have the pole within an inch or closer I believe you won't have any issues.
