Carbon fiber handguard for coyote gun

Looking to reduce weight in a 6mm ARC build. Looking at :

Faxon Streamline Carbon Fiber 15" M-LOK​

Jag SFH AR-15 Handguard 15in​

Both are under 8oz. Wondering if one is better than the other. Or if there is a better option for an 8oz handguard. Thanks for the input.

I’ve never used a carbon fiber hand guard, it’s an interesting concept.

I don’t know if you could go wrong with either one.

I haven’t ever used one either. I want to use a heavy Saturn barrel, so I am going to go with the carbon fiber hand-guard to offset the weight.

Make sense to me, especially if you hang a suppressor off the end of your barrel.

I'd be curious on the durability of a carbon fiber hand guard with it being attached to bipods/tripods in different weather.

I do shoot supressed. I am leaning towards the Faxon in case there are any issues. I trust they would take care of it.

Heard good things about JAG. No first hand experience with Cf hand guards except for with a KAW Valley CF pcc handguard. They aren’t setup for a gas tube though. Other options are brigand arms and smoke composites. I have a smoke composites CF buttstock. It’s a nice piece.

I got one. So far so good. But I wouldn't expect it to be combat durable. It's pretty dainty. For the price though. Worth trying. I got my 20" 556 build under 6# with optic no can.
