Can’t unlock IPad??

Daughter has an older iPad and forgot the password to unlock.

We’ve tried multiple times and just end up locked out.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I believe you can take it to an Apple Store, assuming you have one in your area. They should be able to help out.

That said, they may force a hard reset which would wipe everything off the device.

Not that I’m aware of.

She forgot the password so there shouldn’t be anything to important.

In this case a factory reset would be the best option as long as you still know the Apple ID/password tied to the device.

We get to this point. Just locks up. Won’t allow anything after that.

You need to connect it to a computer with iTunes installed. If you don't have one or can't borrow one you will probably need to bring it to the Apple store.
