To the OP, inside of 30 yards, there's not too much that shouldn't work pretty effectively as long as the shooter does their part. The .270 Win has killed lots of bears over the years.

OP, you can pretty much spin the rifle calibre/ bullet selection wheel all day long on this one and not get a bad choice.
