Canada Gun Laws?

You can Not have more than a 5 round mag while HUNTING . In any province in Canada. Other laws apply when not hunting. Quite simple really.

Do you have any source for this?

There is nowhere in the Alberta regulations that says you can't have a 10 round magazine in a non-auto loader for hunting. People have been hunting here with 10 round 303's for many many decades.

I would check the Ontario regulations though. Federally you cannot have a magazine that exceeds 5 rounds in a auto-loading firearm but bolt action is OK.
