Is anyone heading to Bozeman for this event in March, or attending if you live nearby? Looks to be a science first style conversation with Shane Mahoney as the guest speaker.

I'm always skeptical when I see programs like this. Are we getting a legit story...or is it made up Stats like the recent Charles Post social media blast?

I did a little poking around on this guy....and am pleasantly surprised at his common sense philosophy. Seems to me this guy gets it.

Heres a clip he did on the very volatile Cecil the lion topic....worth a look though its about 15 minutes long. You can probably skip the first minute....

I can tell you each of the panel members have all been in the business of managing grizzly bears for a decade or more and there will not be any politics involved in the discussion. Just the scientific facts of de-listing and management practices.

I would say Shane Mahoney very much "gets it" when it comes to wildlife conservation... lol

Mahoney is a solid dude. Doesn’t always resonate with the younger crowd, but been there and done that.
