Can somebody fix a chewed up Mystery Ranch?

I got a new Beartooth 80 this spring and only used it for shed hunting. Apparently the Yorkie decided that antlers tasted good enough to chew my bag up, so I need some new straps and a few holes patched up. I haven’t checked with MR yet, but I’m sure somebody has been in my shoes and has some experience.

Thanks!

You should contact pods8, he owns rugged stitching and has sewn packs and various attachments for a number of people on Rokslide. Go down the DIY thread and you can see some examples of his work.

I had a red squirrel chew through my pack lid on a hunt this past fall. It mangled the zipper and needed a patch. I called up Mystery Ranch and They fixed it up for a reasonable price. $35 plus shipping if I recall. I was a good experience and the fix looks great.

You might call MR but rumor has it that there customer service has fallen off. Seems like they have a big government contract and don't have time for us common folks. I've had a couple field people stop in this spring to see if MR would fix a hole or strap or two and they reported that they were treated poorly and told that they didn't have time to deal with repairs.

My experience with MR customer service has always been top notch. I would take a few pics and email it to them and then call during business hours.

Pods8 is a solid dude too so that is an option.

If you live close to a big army base like Bragg or something, someone around there doesn’t custom gear work and repairs

You May also want to check out upholstery repairs and boat top / sail repair places. My local sail shop is actually quite helpful.

I too have had outstanding customer service experiences with Mystery Ranch. I would go them with your bag damage first. If they can't do it for whatever valid reason, there are plenty of good alternatives.

I've had to deal/use their CS off and on for the last 10+yrs and have had outstanding experiences. As recently as this spring. They've had gigantic Gov contracts since almost their inception so I'm not sure why it would change now.....

I'd just call MR, have a laugh at your dog eating your pack, don't try to BS them about what happened like some folks do and see what they can do. :)
