I have seen guys use a 6.5PRC seater for 25PRC. If I wanted to reload for 25CM or 6CM could I use really any CM seater?

Yes you just need to buy a new seating stem if you’re going to a smaller diameter with your current setup. I use my 6.5 prc dies for my 25 prc and just had to change my bushings in my sizer and stem in my seater. (Link for an example)

Depends on the seater brand, style and also the ogive of the new bullet. Sometimes you can drill out the center of the seating stem so it is not contacting the tip and seats the bullet by contact of the ogive.

I am just kicking the tires here. Been thinking about getting back into reloading and I have a 25CM and a 6CM. Figured I could save some money by picking up used dies and if it didnt matter, I could just grab any one when I found a good price.

Our local Walmart was closing out a bunch of RCBS dies last month. Snagged a 6mm Creedmoor set for $15.

I seat 25x47 with 6.5x47 dies - no issues, thousands of rounds.

Be easy enough to buy the micrometer seating stem for the appropriate caliber and swap them out. Make a dummy round for each round and just run the seating stem back down tight when you swap ‘em.

I’m using a 6.5 PRC for my 25 PRC and it works dandy.

Dies are cheap, if you try to use odd dies you will be forever adjusting back and forth, it isn’t worth the time or frustration
