Hey guys, I have a pretty banged up Swarovski Z5 scope I acquired as part of a rifle purchase and would like to know if it’s possible to and safe to have it Cerakoted?

It’s non illuminated so no electronics to worry about.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Rob.

The guy who did my gun said you can do scopes but he recommended against it in case you may want to sell it. I did everything else including the bolt and the scope rings.
The scope is pretty banged up and marked so i dont think it will be a negative if i decide to sell..

Yes, but not with bake on. You use the air cure version. Still tough stuff.

Make certain you go with someone that knows how to do a scope. The prep is important, and can do some damage if you aren't careful.

Yeah, no problem to do a scope. Had mine done a couple years ago. The guy charged me $100, it was $240 for the whole rifle, rings, mounts, and scope.

Why not send it back to Swaro and see what they can do, cost might be the same.
