Specific to archery season. Can a guy haul a camp trailer and find a camp spot ok? Or is tent recommended? Atv/sxs needed? Does this unit typically get weather during the season?

For camping or travel related questions, CO has a huge outdoor community. So just look up various trailheads or towns and you can find everything you want to know. As for Sept weather just prepare for anything, but I would prepare more for 40+ degrees with some bursts of crappy weather hours.

SxS atv needed? Or roads decent for a pickup?
Depends on what you want to do. You can park a truck at a trailhead and hike into a non-motorized area. You can hit some trails that are 4x4 rated and road hunt/short hike it. There are some trails that are sub 50" width restricted so you can only use ATVs and dirtbikes and such.

I would download OnX hunt and pay the $35 or whatever it is now for the yearly subscription. The put the gmu layer on and the motorized trails layer on, then do some e-scouting for where you'd like to camp or hunt around.

I’ve use atvs in some spots and a truck in others.
I’ve pulled my camper one year and used my wall tent another time

Be prepared to go where the elk are
