How insulating is the puffy, and have you tried that series of rain jacket to know how breathable is?

The puffy is super warm. One of the better ones I have owned I just decided to go another direction.

The rain coat is going to make you sweat if you hike hard but is very light and durable. Great for carrying all day and throwing it on for those random showers or a wind break over the puffy for extended glassing sessions.

A rain coat over a puffy is like a furnace you keep in your pack for stationary sits. A great system that I use a lot.
