Ive always heard that the eastern oregon bears are alot more callable than the western oregon and coast bears due to more food availability on the west side but a buddy of mine called in a 400 lb boar on the coast using a Wayne Carlton bear call and he came in like a freight train from 450 yds away clear across a clearcut shot him at 30 or 40 yds i believe stud of a bear number 4 in the record books for Oregon. I guess alot of it depends on the mood of the bear i know ive tried many time unsucessfully
