Bout to retire the 20 year old Frankfort Arsenal digital calipers i have. What is the market determining as the go to in the digital caliper market?

Probably load +- 500 rifle rounds a year

Tried and true favorite is Mitutoyo. Watch for cheap knockoff/fakes though. YouTube has advice there to spot the fakes.

Fowler or Mit's from MSC to be sure they're legit; SPI are fine too.

I'm in the Mitutoyo camp too. They have a store on Amazon so those are legit too. I have the solar version because it never seems I have the right watch battery when they go out. I liked the first so much I bought a 2nd. Highly recommend.

thanks fellas. Finances are different for me 20 years later as I could only drool at the Mitutoyo back then. Good to know they are still the one.

Mitutoyo or Browne and Sharpe. I am still using a 30 YO dial, Browne and Sharpe

Mitutoyo is best bang for the buck, and I have some of the others to compare it too.

I've never had a set not work...At least something that is somewhat name brand.

Personally I have been pretty happy with Igage units.

Actually that’s a lie, I used cheapies since before ebay was a thing, prolly on the third or fourth set in over 30 years

Watched this a while back. Theres some surprisingly good stuff out there for not much money.

Amazon is full of fakes. Their storefront doesn't have the full line-up, or the digital version of their caliper.

As much as I dislike eBay for their anti-gun policies. It's a better place to score a deal on a digital Mitutoyo and have some dispute protection if one does get scammed.

i went with Igaging when I started a few years ago. As someone who semi-regularly uses Starret and Mitutoyo, Id get another Igaging for my reloading hobby in a second
