California second bear tag

This is great news but be prepared. The BEAR League has promised to push for legislation to end all bear hunting if the Commission voted to approve the second tag.

Now is the time to join the American Bear Foundation if you haven’t already. We have a California Chapter and need your support to kill anti hunting legislation early in the process because God help us if it ever gets on a ballot.

Thanks for the heads up on the bear league. I’ve been a member for a few years and I haven’t heard anything lately from them.

Count me in. This may not increase the take substantially, but it will add revenue for Fish and Wolves which will hopefully go to bear research and management.

Probably not but I'm sure it will help with some pay raises and new trucks!

Shoot crappy response. No I’m a member of American bear foundation. I used to attend the zoom meetings pretty frequently but for the last year or so it’s been crickets from them.

I read through all the public comments, and the craziest one was from Bear League, calling all hunters 'pathetic'. It's clear to me that she's a nasty woman and willing to play hard ball.

Did she elaborate on what makes us “pathetic”?

I love to put it on them/challenge people like them by asking why they love bears/ lions/ wolfs ect so much but hate deer/ elk and others animals so much. They always say I don’t hate deer! I say sure you do! You want predators on the landscape unchecked which in return decimates healthy deer/elk populations. I doubt it has much effect but I’ve seen it sure make a few people go “oh shit” at least for a minute

Yup when people are speaking on emotions anger/ insults it’s because they are backed into a corner and are loosing the fight. Seen it happen professionally many times too. Real good idea to insult people to get your way….
