California is the stupidest state

What I will never understand are the people who leave California and move to Washington, Oregon, or Colorado because they are sick of how the state is run, and then vote the way they did in California, which helps turn Washington, Oregon, and Colorado into California 2.0.

Now they're doing it to AZ and NV, and working on UT and ID.

IMHO most of the people who move out of CA are conservatives. The liberals who do move are generational vagrants, they have been here a generation or two and move on again. It's like they are migrating and it's someone else's turn to put up with them and take care them. CA is historically red up through the 1990's with the last real republican governor being Pete Wilson, 1991-1999.

I have been saying for a very long time, Ca. may not be able to rescind the 2nd amendment, but they are making hard to acquire the supplies gun owners need. One law at a time, they are taking away our rights.

WA, OR, and CO have long been blue. The vast majority of Californians that are moving to Idaho are very conservative, and as a result, state government has moved further right in the last 10 years.

It has been my observation that most of the blue voters in this state are longtime residents.

Besides 1992 Clinton (CO went to Dole in 1996, and Bush would've beaten Clinton in 1992 if not for Ross Perot's presence in the race getting 23% of the vote), CO had not voted for a Democrat since 1964. George W. Bush won CO both times. Obama started the Democratic sweep of elections in CO.

For WA, California is the #1 birth state for WA residents other than WA, by far, every decade since 1970. WA voted for Nixon twice, Gerald Ford, and Reagan twice. Beginning in 1988, after CA had led the migration for almost 20 years is when blue candidates began sweeping Presidential elections in WA.

I agree with the notion that current Californians who leave are often red voters, but it hasn't always been that way. All of the ex-Californians in my neighborhood in AZ are blue voters and Trump haters.

A lot of their "savings" are on paper. Canceling option year contracts that haven't even been optioned yet.

Most option years are exercised though. It may not be immediate savings, but it is easy savings without expensive litigation, which is what you get when you just start terminating contracts.

The destruction of American industry and the rise of big tech is another factor in WA’s demographic change.

Yes, Colorado is a more recent development than Oregon and Washington, which have been locked blue for well over 30 years. They both went Dukakis. Neither has had a Republican governor since the mid 80s. I'm not sure how we can blame California for Oregon and Washington doing things that California didn't even do.

Hopefully we will see a political revolution in the US with more well informed voters utilizing common sense and the creation of a couple more political parties.

Our elections are literally a High school student body thing. When my woke liberal neighbor said, "Wouldn't it be cool to have a black woman President?" I told her, let me fix it for you adding a smart experienced and capable Black woman.

We are a nation of idiots getting the government we deserve. There should be an IQ test or something to vote. Same for having kids. Think of how much better we would be?

Hopefully, Voters realize we need smart fiscal conservatives that don't waste taxpayer dollars.....Newsom took a budget positive to a $13 Billion deficit with his silly overspending. The $5 Trillion the Biden admin accelerated inflation and will cost us all for many years.

The guy that moved from califonia to Idaho that lives beside my brother is a die hard liberal. Came out of the house and read me the riot act about taking my rifle out of the pick up not in a case when i went out there hunting. He called the hoa on him for skinning a deer in the garge little did he know the president was in their helping skin it and drinking beer

Funny how everywhere you go and meet people from California in general they overwhelmingly hate their government but the same people keep on getting voted in..
That's because the Dems out number registered Republicans , 45% to 25%. Whenever the is a proposition on the ballot that by the terms of the prop. favor conservative it goes down in flams. Or if it passes some liberal judge overturns it, calls it unconstitutional. Then it goes to the higher courts, in maybe 4-7 years.

It’s a shame what California has turned into. One of the most beautiful states in the lower 48. San Diego is still my #1 location I would prefer to live in if wasn’t in California. Amazing year round weather. Mountains, kelp forests off the coast. Incredible Spearfishing, incredible offshore fishing, lobster. Duck, turkey, and quail hunting is excellent. I could go on and on.

I once shot an archery mule deer, free dove for a limit of lobster, and caught 2x 30lb yellowfin in the same day. Can’t do that anywhere else.

Man I live in the stupidest state in the union. I tried to order my kids all a new pair of hiking boots, being that kids need new ones every year. I get all the sizes situated into my cart, input all my info, press place order…… cannot ship to California because of PFAS chemicals. What a bunch of BS. I swear California is such a joke. I’ve been dealing with this with rain gear already, but now I have to pay an obscene amount of money to get my kids a decent pair of hiking boots that won’t fit next season. I love our stupid liberal politicians in this state. Rant over.
Hate to be a stickler, but technically that honor goes to Mississippi. However, California is not far off...

If you were a Pink haired marxist just out of college with your film degree, are you going to Stay in Wichita....heck no, you move to the east or west coast. Birds of a feather. Thus the coasts get a disproportionate number of whackos.

The problem we have now is just about every university system is infected with these woke professors indoctrinating fragile minds and cranking out woke libs by the bushel.

Just look at Oregon, Wash or Colorado....all of those kids coming out of the university system are a bunch of wimpy Marxist Barristas.
