Same stupid law here in Quebec,Canada...plus you get arrested by using a weapon in a public area(street/route)...you will lose your licenses...you better shut the heck up take a knife,do it and leave like a thief...stupid laws.

Yeah, me too....folks love to hate Ca.

So would Co, Ak, or Mt send a warden 100 miles away to dispatch a deer on the side of the road? I sincerely doubt it.

All i know is I have a few Deer, Bear and hog hunting spots on public land that have almost ZERO pressure. Contrast that to heavily hunted states like Colorado....or the past 2 weeks we spent in Montana calling in other elk hunters.......

i think some folks would rather complain.....than get out there.

I lived in California for 40 years. I know California. It sucks! Even when I lived there I drove to Colorado to do some real hunting. Colorado has lots of solitude hunting, but you can't get it by road hunting. I saw no hunters on my elk hunt this year. Same for bear hunting. Deer hunting is coming up and I bet I won't see a hunter.

Yup. CA is a joke. A sick joke. More and more frivolous and oppressive laws passed each year . Sad state of affairs in a state that was once great.

Ya, this state is horrible... I wanna move but the wife wont leave yet....

Local county offices (animal control or sherriff's) will often dispatch an animal in that situation. Our does at least (El Dorado County)....

I'm torn between contributing or watching guys snipe at each other and argue. As a native Californian, I will not be rising the defense of the fruit and nuts, however.

I love the State , last week i hunted and hiked at 10,000 ft and never saw a person, the next day ran a 10k by the Ocean. The way its ran i dislike lots.

I actually was on 3 bucks. I hit one at about 200 yds . Found 2 pools of blood , Trickled for 1/8th of mile to some scrub pines then nothing. Searched 3 hours couldnt find him. This would have been my second tag filled , im burning it anyway just as if i found him
