California bear hunt this weekend partner?

Anyone like to go bear hunt this weekend since it is closer? I can drive almost anywhere that isn’t going to take days. Just want to get out and see some country and meet some good people if possible. If anyone is interested near by, I’m located on the central coast.

Are the bears even out and about down there still?

I’d imagine some of the bears in the lower elevations of x zones (I think that’s the only zones still open for bear and they close this weekend) would still be out. I’ve seen black bears here in California surprisingly late into the winter, even with snow on the ground.

Yes they are still around, I see bears all winter around this area a lot of years.
