Cabelas Krotos, CX PRO and Athlon Ares G2 spotters

Are these 3 basically the same scope with a different brand? They look identical with similar specs?

It seems the Cabela's product can be had on sale for around $489, while the Athlon is around $75-100 more. Are you getting something more with the Athlon?

I bought the Cabela's Krotos HD last year. When I was looking, the Guy at Cabela's did tell me that the Krotos HD was indeed the same as and made by Athlon. I really like the Spotter, it does everything I need it to do.

Athlon may not warranty the Cabelas branded version. If in fact it’s made by Athlon.
And I’ve read that Cabelas has become quite difficult to deal with in reference to warranty issues.
Maybe something to consider.

When I contacted Athlon years ago, they said no relation. You can search threads a few years ago and find adds on alibaba or another website and find the exact same krotos scope without name brand. They are probably made in same factory but that is it. There were some differences in weight and other things. I had the krotos and it was nice.
