Which is better and why? Buying as a gift and user will mainly use for birdwatching. If you feel there's something else better in that price range don't hesitate to say.

Thank you

I own both and find myself grabbing the diamondbacks more often. They are brighter and easier on the eyes during long periods of glassing. The cabelas have less distortion and less chromatic aberration and less glare but my pair has the rolling ball effect to the point I’m nauseous after about 10 mins of panning around. And with the vortex warranty you’ll know the optics you are gifting will be guaranteed forever.
