Cabelas Euro Update

As seen in a previous thread, Meopta updated the Cabelas Euro for this year. I had seen it, along with a few others in ads, but they gmhad not been available to purchase. Looks like they are available now. Seems like the focus wheel is not the plastic(cheap) wheel that it was previous. I am sure the glass is as good as ever.

Yep, I confirmed with Meopta that they are not updating their glass, so this is purely cosmetic. I picked up an 8x32 and wish I could find a 10x42 on sale. I now have Cabelas-branded Meoptas in 8x32, 15x56 (used), and the 20-70 82mm spotter (used) for less than 3k.

I picked up some 8x32's too. I was looking for 10x42's for quite a while, but they didn't have them instock for the past 6 months or so. I did see a pair of 10x in the classifieds here in the last week or so.

They were selling the euro spotting scopes for 1500 too which was a good deal, if it is still is all the same glass and just a cosmetic change. I think the binos have a locking diapter adjustment now. I am in the market for a 12x50 bino and may wait till black friday, Christmas time seems like cabelas has sales around that time.

Look in the classifieds there is a guy selling a pair, for a great deal.

Are you sure it's 100% the same glass? They don't list "two part fluoride objective lens" on the description for the new spotter, they did on the old description. I think this is kind of a big deal, but they may have just not listed it.
