$50

Solid glass. I have the previous gen version from 2017. Very happy. Can't go wrong at this price.

Thanks. I followed suit, and would encourage anyone here who received an open box item to call customer service. The initial rep could only do $10, but the manager was able to do a $50 credit.

I called and was told that my options were to either keep them or return them. No credit. I didn’t push the issue, maybe I should have.

I don’t want to beat the dead horse of continually ripping on Cabela’s post BPS merger, but man…that’s bad customer service.

The binoculars I received just last week are already boxed up ready to go to meopta before I’ve even used them. With how good their customer service is though, they should be good as new when I get them back.

In the end it’s still an okay deal I guess, with a little added hassle.

The Cabela’s in my area still has a pair of the 8x32’s. Anyone have any experience with this? They’re priced at $399, display model only. They would not discount them any further, I thought they may since they were a display model.

I have 8x32s I bought the other day. The last few nights I’ve been comparing them with some 8x30 b3s. Both are very nice, I prefer the view through the euro hds. I’d say it’s just easier to look through. They are both very sharp in the center, have nice fields of view, and great brightness. With light fading I can’t say the 32s do better. The eyecups are different, not sure which I prefer.

I’ll probably end up selling both of these for some rangefinding binos later, but if I was focused on a nicer (subjective) view I’d get the euro hd. If it was about handiness and weight I’d get the b3.

I know these aren’t the same but it’s the two 8s I have right now. Pm me if you wanna know anything specific.

I ordered a set of 10x42 and I received a box for 10x42's but inside were 12x50's with missing lens caps and signs of being a display model. I called customer service to inform them of the error and they gave me the choice of sending them back for a refund or paying the difference between what I ordered and what I received. The 10x42's were $549, I was told the best they could do on the 12x50's was $1299.

Turns out my 10x32s are defective. The armor catches on the top of the hinge. Deciding if I should send back to Cabelas or Meopta for repair. Meopta quoted around 12 weeks.

Pay the difference on their mistake? Maybe that’s the right thing to do, but seems odd. And $1300 for a display model?

This whole thing is kind of wild. Cabela’s puts a couple models on close out, but the buyer(s) have no clue what you’re actually going to receive. Some get NIB, some display models, and others something totally different than what was ordered.

If you like them otherwise, then send back to meopta. Their customer service is great.

My ‘display’ pair will be on the way to them tomorrow.

Just picked mine up from FedEX, they appear to be new in box, but there are a few smudges on a several of the lenses. They appear to be in new condition besides that.

Definitely sounds like a cluster. Mine just arrived and appear to be new luckily. Not sure if it was suppose to come with eye piece covers or not but everything else is there. One question that someone here can probably answer, should I send the “cabelas” warranty card to Meopta or try to register online?

I know this sounds too obvious, but my eyepiece covers were not on the binos they were in the bottom of the soft case. Check there.

Yeah I was surprised by their response. I didn't know if it was just because I was emotionally involved that I thought it was a little odd. When I called I told them of the mix-up and the managers immediate response was "those are much more expensive you will have to send them back." No apology for the mix-up or apology that I wouldn't get the binos I ordered just a you will have to send those back or pay $750 more. I called because it was the honest thing to do but their response was not very well received by me.

I'd call them back and just say you were mistaken, you received the right binoculars.

I agree, it's not really the right thing, but they should have meet you somewhere in the middle, offered to send you the right pair with shipping label to return the others, something other than pay the difference.

Both of those options suck. All these experiences make cabelas look pretty bad.

LOL. That place is tone deaf.

The guy I initially talked with wanted to argue with me, saying I could simply return the binos if I wasn’t happy with their open-box condition. When his tone went up, I asked for the manager. She was very sweet and stunned that cabelas would send out open box items without a disclaimer on the website advertisement.

Either way, thanks for the heads up OP. A great deal for sure and one that likely cost that corporate giant some money.

How would these 10x42s compare to a Maven B1.2 10x42 or Vortex Razor 10x42?? Curious if anyone has thoughts on that

No sponsor and paid for with my hard earned money. Maven was just starting to come out when I did this review- so unsure how they compare.
