Cabelas Alaskan guide Windproof jacket

Anyone have any real time experience with this jacket? Not a lot of reviews but I have an opportunity to pick one up for a good price. How windproof is it truly? In between this and a Sitka stratus jacket but obviously much different price points. Appreciate any responses

I bought plenty Cabelas and now Bass Pro Windproof jackets over the years. Not once were they not exactly as advertised.

I think the key to wearing them is properly layering underneath them based on weather conditions. I do like wearing a fleece right underneath the Windproof jacket.

As for that particular garment, I can’t place it off my mind and don’t own one that I know of. But I never shy away from Cabelas. They risk their reputation putting their name on the garment, it had better perform. I say if you need it, buy it.

This used to be true of Cabelas and they stood by their products. Now with BP ownership....

One of the nicest jackets I own is a cabelas xpg windproof jacket. $49 at Christmas time 3 or 4 year's ago.wish i would have bought more my wife and I fight over it.and I have Sitka kuiu eddy Bauer. But don't expect the same from bass pro shops. Cabelas stood behind their product.
