That's not the only place to get discounted gift cards. If you don't like waiting around for them to be mailed to you, places like GiftCardZen has them $100 gift cards for $87.50... They're legit, because I just used them to buy a pair of Kaibab 15x56's which Cabela's has on sale for $799. So I got a pair of Kaibabs and some Power Pro Braid ($30) for $737.50 after my 6% back from Active Junky.

I was debating getting some but ya I agree with you. Cabelas is pretty horrific with pricing. I maybe would eye some of their clearance stuff and use the gift cards on top of it but nothing that wasn't on sale.
