It's ok, you can always kill one and take it to a different spot for photos and tell people the spot you killed it is 10 miles away from where you did! No one will ever question you coming from a small town with a distinguishable buck! Right? I don't see a problem.

Evening update!!! Got back out there today after my truck broke down (standard when there's a place you want to be) anyways got it saw 13 bucks. Every buck was new buck!!! Starting to see some mature bucks. Saw a 26" 3 point. An old mature tall 3 point and a couple small 4 points that were crabby.

Ouch you had to go and do that!!!! Yes that buck is a bomber and yes I would love to have that buck but... He is on a landlocked chunk of private. Which I do have permission for!! But after 9 years of waiting I Really want a big public land bruiser

I am hunting x6a in lassen county. Today was a turn. Saw a buck breeding a doe. Saw a couple fights. Needless to say I think we just rounded the cover before rut is full swing. Saw about 25 bucks today. Saw some BIG 3 points. Tell you what... If someone had a thing for 3 points. I found a couple. Saw some descent 4 points but still crabby.

Saw an absolute toad 5x5 come out of there last weekend.

Also don't sell some of those 3 pointers short. My buddy killed one during that hunt last year that netted out at 165.

Evening update!! Saw 20 something bucks today. Had a fresh snow on top of the mountains. Cut six bear tracks ( 3 were good ones) and covered some new ground!! I know the 5 point that was shot very well!!! And there has been a couple great bucks taken. I just wasn't the lucky one to be there. A lot of time left. Passed on that kicker buck tonight about 50 yards. Just way too much time for a great yard buck!!! tomorrow is a big wind day so let's just hope for luck thanks for the input and support boys
