Grip on the T3 stock is not modular. You'd need to upgrade to a T3x stock and then put a vertical grip on it.

I used to have one. Nice wood stock.

Got rid of it about 35-36 years ago. Dont miss it. Had to work bolt to get it to fire during a blizzard. Got a model 70 to replace it.

Trijicon Credo 2.5-15, but it's only second focal plane. It's about a grand.
SWFA 3-15x42. Backordered currently, but if you can be patient, they're solid and worth the weight. About $600-ish
SWFA 3-9HD. Also backordered, but by all accounts, the best 700 and in hunting riflescope on the market for the money period.

The 3-15 is in stock now if anyone cares in present time

Yes, I'm trolling. Handled a whole 1 Tikka in my life and it had a nice factory trigger. It's the whole popularity of a "gun build". If you gotta add stuff to your gun to make it shoot right - buy a better gun.

Tikka's are factory rifles that work fantastic.

Consequently, they are a great platform to build a semi custom rifle off of. People aren't making modifications because they do not work.

They are upgrading/customizing the rifles. There is nothing "wrong" with my rifle. It feeds great. The action is smooth. It was accurate out of the box.

My planned modifications: lightweight rifle.
- I will probably change out the stock at some point because I like a shorter LOP than 13.5." Plus, I want to try a carbon fiber stock.
- I will probably have a prefit barrel made to my specifications. I may change cartridges when that happens.
- I will add a Spartan Bipod Adapter.
- new scope and rings.

Nobody (smart) spends a lot of money upgrading a rifle that is a POS and will always be a POS.

That and beyond what was already suggested I'm looking at a new brake to replace the factory radial brake with the goal being to reduce dust kicking up after shots from prone. I'm looking at a new brake from Salmon River Solutions.

By no means necessary but an extended bolt knob and lighter trigger spring was a nice improvement for me.

I added aftermarket parts to personalize mine and make it look how I wanted. Performance was just fine stock.

My upgrades in order

-Reliable scope and rings (I shoot a 30 round group, then drop the rifle from 3 feet onto grass/snow making sure to hit each scope turret a few times and see if the zero stays withing the area of the 30 rounds group in relation to point of aim).
-Degrease firing pin
-Sand out barrel channel
-Vertical grip
-Use a thread locker and torque all screws appropriately (60 in-lbs for action screws, 35 in-lbs for UM ring caps or 25 in-lbs for Sportsmatch/NF rings, 50 in-lbs for rings to rail, 60 in-lbs for the screw that holds the trigger assembly on) add witness marks
-Add flush cups
-Scope level
-Cut and thread (if you don't have a suppressor, then that would go with this)
-If you hunt with gloves or in the cold, a Lumley artic bottom metal (otherwise stick with factory)
-Rokstok
-Longer bolt knob
