I am a lefty so I go with Benelli. I have the M-90, Montefeltro and the SBE. No complaints about any of these guns

Here in the Delta crane fields, the Italian shotguns rule. Benelli and Beretta. My family guides in saltwater out of Juneau and make annual trips to Adak. I shoot the 391 Extrema and A400 while my partners shoot the SBE Benellis. I don't see enough of other brands to form an opinion other that I've seen a couple recent Remington Autos that failed miserably.

Hard to beat an SBE. I have a newer model A5 that I love as well. I personally think the A5 points a little better of the two.

The Berettas are nice, but feel like swinging a 2x4 to me. Too chunky. That is coming from someone who shot a MAG10 for years...

It’s heavily Beretta A400’s and Benelli SBE’s amongst the serious waterfowl hunters know and everything thing else is a distant 3rd. I have both Beretta and Benelli semi autos and it’s a toss up.

Beretta’s are heavier and recoil less. Benelli’s are lighter and have fewer moving parts. Reliability is similar.

I love my SBE3. One of my favorite guns period. I just slay with it. I did test POI and shimmed it to get it set up, which is a process I think most folks skip/don't understand.

Extremely happy with the Franchi Affinity 3.5". Been shooting the daylights out of it, wish I'd picked it up sooner.
I’m on my third year with the affinity 3 and finally cleaned it this year to see how dirty it could get before it wouldn’t cycle. I can’t believe it still worked with the stuff I got out of the action

I got an affinity 3.5 in black on sale at Sportman's Warehouse a couple months ago for $750. I love that gun and thought it was a steal for that price.

I saw that they have the camo affinity 3.5 for $750 today. Jump on it if it's not too late!

For the money the affinity is really really tough to beat. I have two SBE3s in 12 and 20 and an affinity 3.5 in 12. I prefer the ergonomics on the Bennelis to the affinity but it's not even close to being worth the difference in price.

I just bought an Affinity 3 black off of Sportsman’s Warehouse last night for $599.00. It was hard to pass on the price. Excited to pick it up.

I know this is an old thread, but Beretta is coming out with a new auto loader, not to replace, but to add to their line. Premium price point, above the A400. They are doing some revolutionary things. Mid 2025? SHOT show might be a bit early.
