For the folks making butthole wraps in the field, how are you doing your bacon?
Do you cook your bacon, vacuum seal it and in a few days for lunch build your wrap?
Are you buying some precooked (microwave ready), freeze dried bacon, bacon bits, etc. and using that?
How long will cooked at home bacon, vacuum sealed and thrown in your pack last? On the 10th day would you eat it still?

I stuff my butthole with bacon cooked stiff, vacuum pack them and freeze them. Should be good to go on day 10 if the weather is fairly cool.

If they aren't good to eat you'll know by the smell of your butthole whether you should eat it or not

When I’ve done them, I’ve pre made and vaccum sealer them. They’ve lasted 10 days no problem. Precooked bacon from Costco. Hard salami too. SOOOOO sick of them after just a couple of days....

I'm lost...

If you dont know, it is a sandwich they are talking about :ROFLMAO:

I came across some guys talking about them a while back...needless to say I made sure I was still on Rokslide lol

To OP, I havent had one but if I was to make some, I would probably do bacon bits or something from a package that is guaranteed to last.

Is this a prison purse thread or there a wrap/sandwich called a butthole?
It's a sandwich that Aron coined the name for. Bagle, peanut butter and bacon if memory serves. I don't make them so I can't remember all the deets. Honey maybe too?

Ah,okay. I like peanut butter on bagels.

Guess the ex-girlfriend stories will be told on Penthouse forums and not Rokslide Cooking In The Wild then.

I always use the pre cooked Costco stuff and either do bagel/pb/bacon and honey or the big tortillas with the same filling and have no problem for a couple days vac sealed and frozen.

Done both, cooked then vacuum sealed and also taken store bought precooked. Prefer doing it at home. Would definitely eat after 10 days. Our method is make wraps at home and vacuum seal. Tried shelf stable bacon and ham too, it’s pretty bad.

Okay, so you prefer cooking your own bacon? We just got our food saver. I’ve been telling the wife about these. Now we have a name for them... lol

How long do they last?

I ate all mine before they could go bad... the weather was in the mid 70s during the day and the empty bags began to stank a little after day 5 but I used regular bacon and didn't cook it super crispy.

I suspect if I had cooked the bacon down really well or used precooked bacon they would have been good to go for much longer or if the weather had stayed cooler.
