Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to back country hunting and looking to get a spotting scope.
I can pick up a NIB Burris TXS 2527 (25x-75x x 70mm) locally for less than what the stores with remaining stock sell them at, so I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this scope?

Also , I don't see many guys using compact scopes with high power magnification, Is there inherently issues with this design?

This Burris gets decent reviews from the few that are out there, but if you guys have any feedback that would be great!

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the spotting scopes. I did just buy my first Burris rifle scope and am pretty impressed for the price I paid. Solid glass and it seems well built.

That's the old catadioptric they sold. No. You can do better with another scope. There are reasons you never see that design in spotters or camera lenses.

Those were made when Burris was trying to stay afloat and they offered a bunch of cheap volume stuff. Their riflescopes were always decent, but the other optics they offered were not the same standard.
