Going 4th rifle this year. Will be a change of pace from chasing bulls in September. Excited for something different though. What's an average shot you take on a muley late season in southwest CO?
 
Depends how good you can shoot. If you’re asking, probably the closer the better. Bucks will be distracted, just don’t spook the does
 
If you can, try to be competent out to 500. Most of mine and my buddies have been inside of that clustering closer to 200.
 
Depends on the area you are going to hunt. 4th season deer in SW Colorado you will probably be in the rut or just after. Weather can be dry or snow..... Be prepared for anything. @ years ago we had 3' on the ground in 3rd season. As everyone has mentioned, I have had shots from 25 yds to 250.
