Bullet for whitetail deer from 6mm Creedmoor

Hunting in PA so nothing over 300 yds. Trying to decide between heavier (100+ gr) cup-and-core like Berger VLD/EH, ELD-X, etc. vs. lighter bonded bullet like partition, accubond, etc. What do you y'all think?

I run 115 VLDH in mine for antelope and deer. Great penetration and energy transfer. Never had one go more than a few yards and pile up

The 95 gr SST is an absolute HAMMER on whitetail.

We have killed a ton of deer with 6mm’s using 100 grain interlocks, 100 grain partitions, and 95 grain nosler ballistic tips. We also have some 70 grain hammers loaded to try now too.

I shot 3 does last year with 147 gr eldm out of my 6.5 cm last year all under 100 yards and all dropped in their tracks. I just built a 6 cm this year and planning to run the 108 eldm this year.

I'd look at the 108 ELD-M from a 6 Creed. If you want to go lighter the 95 NBT is a lights-out bullet in 6mm rifles!

That’s what I am running in my 1:10 twist .243

100 gr Interlock fan here too. They have killed a lot of creatures for me.

While not a 6mm, I’ve had fantastic results with the 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in 6.5 Creed’s on multiple whitetails in Georgia.

It’s also my understanding that the 95 grain Ballistic Tip is THE Whitetail bullet for the .243 caliber.

That being said, I’d seriously look into a Ballistic Tip for the 6mm

100 gr. or 95 gr. Nosler Partitions are classics and work great.

90 gr. Nosler E-tip is fantastic also. My son killed his first elk a large cow with ONE 90 gr. E-tip at 350 yards. Hit her tight behind the right shoulder and the bullet mushroomed well and exited the off side left shoulder. She staggered about 20 yards and dropped.

90 gr. Accubond. The Accubond is a great bullet.

6 creed up close I would shoot 108 eldm factory. If you want to hand load there are a lot of good ones for close range. 95 sst and 95 bt are probably 2 of the best. I shot those all the time in a 9 twist 243. Also, Hornady 105 bthp kills well. We have used those to 680 yards on whitetails.

No brainer ... 108 ELD-M all day everyday with that twist. Near or far.

I shoot 88 hammer hunters in mine, 6 deer with my creed this year from 30 yards to 465 they perform flawlessly.
