I know a lot here are not huge AR fans.
I just got a 6mm Arc upper that I am planning on using for my whitetail rig for next season.
Would like to hear from anyone who has used the 6Arc what bullets are you using as well as powder.
Im going to pick up some factory stuff today just to get the rifle lined up and I know most factory stuff for it is 103,105 and 108gr. I know they have the 80 but prefer to shoot a bit heavier bullet than that.
What are some of you all using and have had success on deer size game with the 6 Arc and also what powder are you using as well.
In doing some reading I see a lot like the Leverevoloution powder, but I hear its pretty dirty. I was thinking of using the CFE223 with something like a 105 gr which seems to get good velocities also.

So what all aare you guys using with sucess.

I recently got a 6arc and have put a few rounds through it. The only thing I have shot have been the factory 108gr ELDMs and it really really likes those. Not sure yet what I'm going to use for a hunting bullet out of it. I've picked up a couple of pounds of LEVERevolution. It is supposed to be a great powder for the ARC with really good velocity.

Here are some of my load workups and good loads with my favorite 6 ARC AR. I've used mostly LVR, it gives best velocities and good accuracy, but is temp sensitive. Recently started trying CFE223, AA2520 is another good candidate.

I killed one deer a few years ago with the 100gr TGK, and two this year with the 103gr ELDx, both worked well, I think the consensus is that the TGKs are a bit harder bullet.

For ~100gr to 108gr, I've found right around 29.3gr of LVR to be kind of a sweet spot, to the point that with a new bullet I try 29.1, 29.3 and 29.5 to start and see where things go from there.

If your gun shoots 108 eldm factory ammo, I wouldn’t mess with anything else.

Keep your brass to reload with 108’s again later if you really want to, or sell it to fund more.

That bullet is a certified killer at this point.

Not much to be gained over the factory 108’s unless they don’t shoot in your gun.
