I picked up a pair at an REI Garage sale for $20. Covered up a tear with some duck tape and I am good to go.

Just got my M65 liners and figured I'd post the specs. These are the green ones with wavy seams, not the light gray one which appear to be a newer version of military puffy pants. Regardless, I'm 5'10, 173 lbs with a 33" waist, got the Medium Long versions for $9.53 on eBay. Mine weigh in at exactly 13 oz. The waist and legs are a little loose, BUT if you can sew buttons on you'll be fine. I moved the bottom three buttons on each leg in 3.5", moved the fourth button from bottom in 1.5" and left the top two buttons on each leg where they were. Now they fit great. You could also move the button on the fly to make for a better fit, but there I just sewed in some paracord to make a tie cinch waist. The legs still end just above boot height, but not a problem for me. It's really breathable material, probably won't block wind very well, but it's also really quiet, not at all noisy like most 20D nylon shells.

The weather was somewhat sh*tty over the weekend but I decided I would give my liners a test. Mid to high 40's with rain and roughly 10mph winds. I wore them under my Corrugate Guide Pants on the way into the stand Friday. Way too warm for that kind of activity, probably a half mile hike with tree stand, sticks, and bow in tow, I'm not sure how well these would function as a backpack piece of gear, I don't see them replacing my Alleganies but for the price difference I see no reason to not own a pair.

Got mine in the mail. Medium/Long. I'll echo everyones thoughts on the fit being bulky, but that's what I was expecting. I don't have any more backcountry hunts left for the year, but I'm excited to get them out on some day hunts over the next couple weeks. Weathers looking like it'll be ranging from 24F - 40F .

So I took mine out last week, below freezing temps at 9-10k eoth a lot of time behind glass. They SAVED MY ASS. They may not be the best but they beat not having any. And I went in the first day with no long base layer and prana Zion pants which are way to light for those conditions but great for the pack in I ended up wearing mine a ton and found a few things. The length seems weird but end right at my gaiters which turned out being nice going through snow. They are QUIET which was awesome side feature. Lastly mine were a bit big, I hooked all 3 waist buttons through the hole meant to hook to the inside of the pants and then came back to the original button hole and it helped with the waist size and sealed it in a bit better up top. If you can swing the smalls they arent buttoned all the way down. I actually wish I'd have gotten the long smalls and theyd have probably worked better for me but for 10 bucks I'm super happy with these!!! I also slept up there that night and shoved the pants in the bottom of the bag and my feet stayed warm. Usually my feet get cold pretty easy so yet again, another cool extra bonus.

Ok, so I sent my 10 year old daughter out in these trick or treating a couple nights ago, I figured what the hell, it’s a little nippy out, and since she’s dressed up like Amelia Earhart it’ll probably work. So, I cut a slit in the waist, so she could pull them tight and button them, and away she went. I’m super happy with my purchase.

I just bought a pair and am thinking about sewing on a piece of waterproof fabric on the seat and maybe knees. Any insight on which fabric to use? It needs to be totally waterproof for sitting on snow or ice. I don’t think breathability is essential on a small patch like that. Any thoughts?

I was sitting in mud and some snow and had 0 issues with it soaking through. I'd test them before you went to the effort
