If you have time to shop the closeouts and sales at REI, I've seen some great deals come through on quality brands. The Semi annual garage sales that ROCK mentioned are usually returns and last years models. I've heard of some great deals being picked up if you don't mind a crowd and sorting through the gear.

I would get an Enlightened Equipment Rev X quilt. Tim has an excellent sale going on with the premade ones. I just received mine a week ago and it is incredible!! You can get a 10* or 20* with overstuff well under $200. I can not recommend them enough.
