Bucks over 30"

My 2022 Utah buck that was 30-3/8" inside spread

Was able to kill this guy about a month ago. Just over 30" outside spread. Found him in July and was able to kill him in September with a muzzleloader. Definitely a partner effort on this one. Could not have done it without a ton of help from my buddy. Best part was that he killed his target buck (27" wide beautifully symmetrical 4x4) right next to mine. Both bucks were dead inside of a minute. It was one hell of a hunt!IMG_4344.jpegIMG_0010.jpeg

Killed my second buck over 30”.

31 1/4” at the kickers.

I wish I would have got a tip to tip measurement on this bucks ears. Because I grossly underestimated him at a 24” main frame and 27-28” at the kickers. His main frame is over 27” at the G3’s. Even in the photos it looks like his frame is barely, if anything outside his ears.

I almost passed my biggest buck ever because he was “only” at his ears…some of those big bucks have massive heads and huge ears!! Very cool buck

Yeah I have to be more mindful of it in the future for sure. Because when I saw the deer he looked BIG. But then putting numbers on him, and guessing his ears at 22", I came up with about 175". He was NOT 175" lol.

Looks like an elk. 🤔
I went hunting as support, with a buddy several years back. He was a newb at the time. We were not hunting deer. We saw a buck a bit wider than the buck in the first video, but the buck we saw had a rack much taller. We were in his truck driving when we saw him and I immediately said, gid, look at that buck! My buddy responded, thats an elk! I simply responded, stop and take another look. That buck was the second largest antelered buck I have ever seen.

So in short, I kinda get the, that's and elk, and it looks like an elk, comments.
